So my webhost is being terrible and half my emails are not getting sent. It’s really annoying since everyone RSVP’d via email and I didn’t receive most of them. Ugh! But I finally have the final count! Grin

So, there was a mix up at the jewlery store and they forgot to call us when the ring came in. When it finally got sorted out, Mack and I went to the mall to pick it up. Thankfully it fit perfectly! It’s a cobalt ring with a silver colored finish. Cobalt is harder and more scratch resistant than other metals.

Natalie finally picked out her Matron of Honor dress. It is lovely! She’s been buying a few dresses on sale at TJ Max and Marshalls and this one dress she picked out is perfect! I’m so excited to see her all dressed up and beautiful. Smile

It looks nearly identical to the dress pictured; however I think the straps are a little more substantial. It also has a pretty little rhinestone broach in the center under the bust. I think Natalie is going to be beautiful!

So about a week ago I sent out the invites! I’d like to say they were a labor of love, but they kinda got annoying towards the end. I rounded the corners of each piece of the invites, so with 7 pieces and about 40 invites, that’s about 1100+ corners! I also used over 160 feet of ribbon in those invites and hand tied the bows. I have no idea how many hours it took, but it was probably way too many. Lol!  Laugh There was also about 3 or 4 trips to Staples to print out addresses and the website tags (I forgot some addresses the first time! Oops!). And then there were the people that Mack forgot about that I had to send out invites to last minute. But, it’s all done finally!

I’ve already had people tell me they got them! We’ve only had 3 returned so far: two were read wrong (according to the post office) and one the address label tore in half. I hope those are the only ones returned!

Also, I’ve already had a few RSVPs! I’m getting really excited! It’s all finally coming together. Smile

So, I finally came to a decision on my shoes! I purchased these shoes from a Japanese company. They have nice short and chunky heels, so it won’t be hard for me to walk in them. They will also replace my current white lolita shoes, since I’ve used my them so much that I’ve had to re-glue the bows on. They’re so cute! Big Smile

Lolita shoes

I’m super excited about my shoes! They are a gift from my future mother in law, and I thank her so much for them! Heart

I spent nearly a month perfecting this bad boy on Shutterfly. I even had a 1 hour long teleconference with my mom and sister to go over it page by page. AND NOW IT’S HERE! The hard work was worth it!

It is even better than I thought it would be! I absolutely love it to pieces! It’s huge, so there’s plenty of room to put in photos from the photobooth. I’m going to have colored pencils, stickers and all sorts of fun things to put in it.

Yesterday I visited my mom to help her out with her art show. After I spent a nice afternoon with her and my father, I went to Publix to order my wedding cake!

It is going to be two tiers, one 8 inch and one 10 inch. The top tier is going to be red velvet with cream cheese filling. The bottom tier is going to be half and half chocolate and vanilla, this is where they alternate layers of cake. It will all be covered in white buttercream icing. So delicious!

The top tier will have a rosette frosting swirl design and the bottom tier will have textured stripes.

I’m starting to get a little edgy since I have less than 5 months till the wedding. And two of those months are going to be taken up by holidays! I’ve made some minor updates to pages on the website and added a few new pages.

  • FAQ – I’ve added a FAQ page for questions that guests may have. I’m updating it constantly, so make sure to check it out.
  • Directions – I’ve also added directions to Sunken Gardens from various places. I still have to add the directions from the hotel, but I still have to book the hotel.

We’ve also decided on the dates for the Bridal Shower and the Bachelorette Party. One is in Feb and one is in March. There should be enough time to recover from the Bachelorette Party before the wedding. Smile

I’m a little afraid of wearing heels since I’m not that good at walking in them and the ceremony is outside. Also, my feet will probably start to hurt by the end of the night. But here are some cute heels that I like. I don’t like peep toes or pointy toes. And I can’t wear kitten heels, I always always always trip when I wear kitten heels.

OMG I LOVE THESE!

Very pretty lace and looks like they would be easy to walk in.

Big ass flower!

Chunky blue heel

Glitter and a bow!
